Sign up for the longest term contract that you are comfortable to lock in the lowest rate possible. This type of plan offers the most stability for users looking to avoid market fluctuations. Since Just Energy operates in multiple states, moving doesn’t necessarily break your contract. If you are a renter, choosing a contract length that matches your lease is a safe bet.
Variable Rate
Variable rate plans work on a month to month basis and rates will vary with market prices and demands. These types of plans do not require a contract, but do not offer the stability a fixed rate plan does.

Just Energy Deposits, Cancellation, and Other Fees
Just Energy requires customers who do not meet a certain credit standard to pay a deposit fee. These fees can be avoided by choosing one of their prepaid plans, where you pay for your energy usage in advance. Most plans also include a $4.95 to $9.99 monthly fee. For those who must terminate their contract early a cancellation fee of $175 may be charged.
