Stream Energy Plans and Pricing
Fixed Rate Plans
Stream Energy’s fixed-rate plans lock in your rate per kWh during the entire length of your contract. This can help protect your household from market fluctuations and help you budget properly for utility bills. You are locked into a contract for some amount of time and could incur early termination penalties if you switch providers.
Variable Rate Plans
A variable-rate plan from Stream Energy allows you to switch providers or cancel service at any time. The rate per kWh varies each month and is susceptible to market fluctuations.
Renewable Energy Plans
The renewable energy plans offered by Stream Energy are filled with energy from 100% renewable sources. These renewable sources are ones that do not produce carbon emissions and air pollution. Stream energy’s renewable plans utilize solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind power, low-impact hydropower, geothermal energy, biologically derived methane gas, fuel cells, biomass energy, coal mine methane, large scale hydropower, waste coal, distributed generation systems, demand-side management, municipal solid waste, generation of electricity utilizing byproducts of the pulping process and wood, and integrated combined coal gasification technology.
Stream Energy also offers eco+ which can be added to any eligible plan. For a small monthly fee a renewable energy certificate for 1000 kWh of energy is purchased to offset the first 1000 kWh you use that month.
